“There’s a real subculture of entrepreneurial retailing in Melbourne - grassroots, hardworking creatives who genuinely care about the finer details of product. In the wake of the last financial crisis, there seems to be a real international movement back to investing in quality and longevity as opposed to throwaway “fast fashion”. Fortis Green is aiming to hit that mark of affordable luxury – long lasting and luxurious socks that will not only wear well, but add color to any outfit.” - Ray Willmoth

  • Let's get technical: Handlinked toes

One of the technical aspects that set Fortis Green socks apart is our choice to use a hand linking process for our sock’s toe seam. Our Portuguese manufacturers are one of only a small number of factories that can offer this process, the result of which is a flat, seamless-feel join at the toe.

  • Design Inspiration: The Navy Dot Sock

Our 'Navy Dot' sock is a striking yet ultimately versatile patterned sock from the Fortis Green range. Based on the Art Deco poster for the 1936 Geneva Automobile Show by Jules Henri Fehr, this strong colour palette will both compliment a traditional suit and lift a casual ensemble.
  • Design Inspiration: The Black Check Sock

The Fortis Green 'Black Check' sock is one of three colour options in our check pattern range. The black check sock is based on the 1929 work of artist Edmond Vadgran's 'Go South For Winter' British holiday campaign, taking his bold art deco colour palette as inspiration for this versatile luxury dress sock.
